200-Hour Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training

A full immersion into the practice of Ashtanga Yoga

Ashtanga Yoga is a dynamic, structured, and energising practice, based on a flowing sequence of postures synchronised with a specific breath technique (ujjayi pranayama).
This 200-hour Yoga Alliance certified training is designed to deepen your personal practice while preparing you to teach with clarity and authenticity.

Upon completion, you will receive the RYT 200h certification, enabling you to share the traditional teachings of Ashtanga Yoga across the world.

Who is this training for?

This training is intended for dedicated yoga practitioners who wish to deepen their practice and learn to teach this powerful method.

We work with a small group (maximum 12 participants) to ensure personalised support and a high-quality learning experience.

 

Prerequisites:

  • At least one year of regular yoga practice with a teacher

  • Reading of four foundational Hatha Yoga texts: Yoga Sutras, Hatha Yoga Pradipika, Gheranda Samhita, and the Yoga Upanishad

A complete immersion into the practice of Ashtanga Yoga

Our training is divided into four core modules, each designed to give you comprehensive knowledge of Ashtanga Yoga while preparing you to become a confident and inspired teacher:

  • Yoga Philosophy & History
    Study the philosophical and spiritual roots of yoga, including Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras and the foundational principles of Ashtanga Yoga.
    You’ll learn to integrate these teachings into your personal and teaching practice. Includes reading and reflection on Yoga Chikitsa.

  • Asana Practice & Pranayama
    Deepen your understanding of the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga, with a focus on alignment, ujjayi breathing, and adjustments.
    Learn how to teach this dynamic sequence while adapting it to the individual needs of your students.

  • Meditation & Yoga Philosophy
    Introduction to meditation techniques associated with Ashtanga, and the use of breath to develop a strong mental and spiritual practice.
    You’ll also explore how to live the philosophy of yoga in your daily life.

  • Anatomy & Teaching Methodology
    In-depth study of anatomy as it applies to yoga postures, with emphasis on safety and injury prevention.
    Develop your pedagogical skills and learn to guide students with clarity and inclusivity.

Your Mentor

Students are guided by Julie Giacomini, an experienced yogi master and teacher trainer. A comprehensive training manual is provided. Throughout the course, a thesis and final exam will validate your learning, with weekly assignments helping you build your reflection and integration of the teachings.

 

Training Fees & Registration

The full training cost is €2400, divided into four modules of €600 each.

Our yoga teacher trainings may be eligible for professional development grants. As a registered professional training centre, we can provide all necessary documents to support funding applications.

Single block or spread out

Each week introduces a new module, allowing for steady and flexible progression. Trainings are delivered in blocks of 2 to 6 modules, depending on the theme, and can be followed continuously or over multiple sessions.
